About World History
Each topic follows one question through a period. Ancient Egypt asks how a strip of watered land beside one river became a lasting state. The Classical World looks at how Greek cities and Rome argued about government, and what they left to later Europe. The Industrial Revolution follows Britain from the land into factories and cities. The French Revolution covers ten years from absolute monarchy to the republic, the Terror and Napoleon.
The Second World War and the Holocaust is studied through documents and testimony. The bagrut course is one line of argument from nationalism in Europe to the Shoah and the founding of the state, and ends with writing an answer from a document. Lessi explains on a board and out loud, with short quizzes, and the first 60 minutes are free with an account.
