Algebra and Bagrut Mathematics

Algebra here starts with linear equations in grade 7 and quadratic equations in grade 9. It then holds the three courses of the Israeli math bagrut, at three, four and five units, in grades 11 and 12, and ends with linear algebra in the first year of university. Lessi, an AI teacher, teaches every topic live and at the student's pace.

About Algebra and Bagrut Mathematics

Algebra is the step from numbers to unknowns. Linear Equations goes from writing an expression to solving equations with brackets, with fractions, and hidden inside word problems. Quadratic Equations covers factoring, the quadratic formula, the discriminant and the parabola that all three describe. Linear Algebra, a first university course, treats systems of equations and linear maps between vector spaces until the two pictures become one.

The bagrut courses sit here too, since algebra runs through all of them. Three units goes from word problems through the straight line and the parabola to growth, decay and reading data. Four units adds sequences, trigonometry in any triangle, the calculus of polynomials and probability. Five units adds trigonometric identities, exponential and logarithmic functions, vectors in space and the normal distribution. Lessi teaches on a board and out loud, with short quizzes along the way.
