Visual Art, Design and Photography

Visual art, design and photography here runs from the early years (ages 3 to 5) to grade 12. It starts with colors, drawing and music, then line, shape and color in grade 2 and composition and perspective in grade 6. In grade 10 come photography and design, and grade 12 brings studio practice and the bagrut portfolio. Lessi, an AI teacher, teaches each topic live.

About Visual Art, Design and Photography

The youngest children mix colors, draw lines that wiggle and curl, and hear loud and soft, fast and slow. In grade 2 a first art course builds from the three things every picture is made of: line, shape and color. Grade 6 asks where the eye enters a picture and why two converging lines read as distance. Photography covers aperture, shutter and sensitivity, then the harder half: where to stand and how to build a photo essay.

Design treats a picture as a message sent to someone for a purpose, through typeface, hierarchy and a brief answered in full. The bagrut year grows a body of work from one question, with a workbook that shows the thinking. Lessi explains on a board and out loud, with short quizzes, and the first 60 minutes are free with an account.
